Okay, let’s talk about Wild for You by Renee Harless, the latest installment in the Sunny Brook Farms series! Picture this: cowboys, small-town charm, and that best-friend’s-older-brother romance we all secretly (or not-so-secretly) love. This book feels like wrapping yourself up in a cozy blanket, with all the warmth and familiar charm you’d expect from a Hallmark movie… but with a bit more spice!

Right off the bat, Andrew and Kelsey have incredible chemistry! Andrew’s that classic grumpy cowboy type who secretly has a heart of gold, while Kelsey’s a ray of sunshine, even if her brightness hides some heartbreak. I absolutely melted over Andrew’s protective side – especially how he cared for Kelsey when she wasn’t feeling well and stood by her at every turn. However, I couldn’t help but feel like their romance was just a tad rushed. We jumped from caretaking to full-on love a bit too quickly for my taste. A slower burn would’ve built up that romantic tension even more!

Speaking of tension – hello, forbidden romance! There’s an age gap, forced proximity (Kelsey’s living with Andrew as his physical therapist), and a best-friend’s-older-brother dynamic that had me hooked from the start. And let’s not forget the baby plot twist! Kelsey’s carrying a baby from her past relationship, and Andrew, this rugged rodeo champ, steps up to be there for her and the baby in such a swoon-worthy way. If you’re a fan of the grumpy x sunshine trope, Andrew and Kelsey have it down to an art!

The story did lean into the predictable side a bit, but honestly, sometimes that’s just what the doctor ordered, especially for a cozy fall read. The small-town vibe was spot-on, filled with heartwarming moments and a strong found-family feel that really brought this story to life. The Easterly family? Absolutely adorable. They’re loud, loving, and always have each other’s backs – which adds that extra warmth to Andrew and Kelsey’s romance.

Now, as much as I loved this book, I did have a few minor gripes. I felt like Andrew’s struggle with his “outsider” identity in his family was drawn out a bit too much. The guy’s got an incredible family who loves him dearly, yet he’s holding onto this old feeling of not belonging. And Kelsey, while wonderfully sunshiny, had some doormat tendencies with her mother that were frustrating at times. There’s a lot packed into these pages, and while it added layers, a little streamlining of some plot elements would’ve made this story even better.

Overall, Wild for You checks all the right boxes if you’re looking for a sweet yet spicy small-town romance. It’s packed with tropes we all love – best-friend’s-older-brother, age gap, cowboy hero, and a “surprise” pregnancy plot twist. Andrew and Kelsey are so much fun to read about, and their journey from friendship to love will leave you smiling. So, grab your boots and dive into Sunny Brook Farms – Wild for You by Renee Harless is a feel-good romance that’s as comforting as it is entertaining!
